The quality of the work of Danish artist Wilhelm Freddie was quickly recognized by André Breton and his circle of Paris Surrealists. For years his work was considered scandalous. At the age of eighty-two, however, he looks back at his past without bitterness and recounts his long battle for acceptance by the art world. His works are now exhibited in the most prestigious European and American galleries.
