The Urban Bonsai: Contemporary Japanese Prints

Unlike traditional Japanese art, contemporary Japanese prints still find little recognition worldwide. They are a profoundly modern as well as beautiful medium. By means of interviews with the artists about their background and techniques, this film reflects on the seventy-five works featured in the College Women's Association of Japan Traveling Print Show, and shows how much insight they give into modern Japanese society.
